Communities First have organised a range of Community Learning projects to facilitate our vision framework aims and objectives.
These include
:
“Go on, give it a go!” - a guide to community learning and volunteering opportunities for adults in Aberystwyth and Penparcau.
“Learning is… for life” – a day of workshops highlighting ways of increasing employment opportunites.
Communities First Penparcau & West Aberystwyth, organised a special ’Learning is for Life’ event on Saturday March 5th. The event was hosted at the Morlan Centre in Aberystwyth, the day of activities included workshops on dealing with bills, what kind of learner are you, getting that job and setting up your own business. Over 35 people attended the day which included input from CAVO, CAB, Grad Start, Aberystwyth University, Mid Wales Welsh for Adults Centre, Open University Wales, Genesis Cymru Wales 2, Antur Teifi, Want2Work and the Centre for Widening Participation and Social Inclusion.
The event was also seen as an excellent opportunity for networking between the organisations highlighted above. A big thank you from Communities First for all your input…..diolch!
Plans for the future include working in partnership with Aberystwyth University Centre for Widening Participation and Social Inclusion to host a range of activities.
